As former product designers and manufacturers, we’ve seen industrial-scale waste firsthand. It's a level of impact that individual recycling efforts simply can’t compensate for. That’s why, at THICCLY, we design with the environment in mind from the very beginning.
GrowPole Series
Material
Our PET material is tested for 219 toxic substances, and passes both European REACH and ROHS standards.
It is also certified free of lead, cadmium, and mercury under ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards.
Carbon footprint
GrowPole is designed to be flat-packed without fillers. That way when it is shipped, it uses the least amount of material that gets transported around the world, lowering its carbon footprint.
Pre-consumer waste
Before any GrowPole is shipped to us, all cut-outs are fully removed for proper recycling or disposal. That way, small plastic cut-outs won’t make it to the landfill, the ocean or even your home - where they could pose serious risks to small animals.
At the factory, GrowPoles are sorted to recycle any damaged parts. Those that are cosmetically damaged are sold at cost through our Green GrowPole initiative. Reducing waste is always better than recycling.
Post-consumer waste
A major problem in recycling is separating and sorting materials. GrowPoles are made from 100% PET, making them easy to recycle. No separating of materials is required. Simply remove the fillers and drop them off at any PET bottle recycling facility.
